I started Jazzercising over 20 years ago with DeeDee Cutright at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville. What keeps me coming back? I love music, I like to dance, and I like to view Jazzercising as DANCING rather than boring exercise. In order to stick with any routine, you need it to be something you like. Okay, so if I view it as dancing instead of exercising, am I really getting anything out of it? I guess the best testimonial I have is my doctor. At a recent checkup, my doctor asked me if I "worked out." I admit I sort of chuckled and said, "yes, I Jazzercise three times a week. Why?" The doctor replied, "Well, it shows. I especially can tell you are more flexible . . . . " Although he didn't say it, I know he meant more flexible than other women my age. So besides being FUN, Jazzercise really does a body good! |

I have been a Jazzerciser since February, 2000. In the past years, I have met many people and have had a great time attending classes. The music consists of a variety of artists. Today we had an Irish Techno piece and songs by U2 and the Corr's (it was St. Patrick's Day). Once we even had a song sung in German. There is contemporary, pop, hip hop, some country and even Michael Buble. I am 49 and it is always a treat to hear this great variety of music. I have also been a student under more than half a dozen instructors. I have loved them all, but I especially enjoy the instructors in Glendale. They always have a smile on their faces and I feel quite welcome. I hope to be keeping fit this way for many years. |

The Jazzercise motto of 'Fitness, Friendship, and Fun' really is true! Not only do you get a excellent workout, it is a very social environment where you can meet many new friends on a regular basis. Plus, it is so much fun that you WANT to come back again and again! Who knew that Jazzercise could be so much fun?! |

I have been attending jazzercise classes regularly for ten weeks. Before I began jazzercise, it had been years since I had been involved in any regular exercise routine. I knew I needed to get moving, but I really dreaded getting started. I expected misery. I was surprised. Jazzercise was fun right from the beginning. this is the first exercise routine I have ever done that I actually look forward to! It also helps that my clothes have gotten quite loose. My six-year-old daughter has been through two sessions of junior jazzercise, and she loves it as much as I do (maybe more). We talk about our jazzercise experiences at home and compare "moves." She likes to ask "Do the grown-ups do this one, Mom?" I feel very good about getting her involved in a program that reinforces the importance of regular exercise -- a program that shows her that it can be as fun as it is healthy. I feel even better about the example I am setting for her by taking the time to make exercise a part of my regular routine. It is so important for kids to learn the importance of regular exercise early on from their own experiences and by the example of the adults they look up to. |
